Experts Galaxy

Its been around 1.5 years, we have not arranged license giveaways as I was planning to move them all on a separate domain: Softwares Community. Many of you, were already subscribed but it wasn't active because of hosting issues. Experts Galaxy would be a tutorial only blog as per Consumer or Enterprise users, though you can subscribe to both of them.

Android is one of the most famous Linux OS, which people don't know. It is a Mobile OS based on Linux and customized by different companies. I have been using an Android phone for around 3 years now and quite happy to make a switch being an Open Source Supporter. There are so many free applications available to make the phone more smarter, however all of them are not worth installing. Many of them are useful, then also we can't install them because of the limited capacity of our phones.

Kaspersky has always been in our favorite list if we talk about Antivirus. If you are regular at Experts Galaxy then you must be running a good security software and that too for free. Running a good Antivirus doesn't guarantee the security of your PC, if the other software are outdated. Anyone can make use of the vulnerabilities present in the older version of the installed software to bypass the security software.

If you are using a slow internet connection then downloading stuff from internet is a tedious task. Download freaks, specially in those countries where high speed internet is not easily available must use a download manager for efficient downloading. I keep on playing with different Operating Systems be it for home users or for Servers and to do that, I download the latest trail versions from Microsoft or different flavors of Linux. Most of the time my computers are busy downloading stuff from the internet and if I am busy somewhere else then they do it smartly using IDM, be it the videos from Youtube or any other software.

There are millions of websites over the web and similarly the trend of blogging is increasing. In the coming years, I think blogging will be considered as the prominent branch of computers or something closely related to computers. The numbers of bloggers are increasing rapidly as one can express their views, share tutorials, the good and the bad experiences of life with everyone over the web.

Optical drives will become obsolete in the coming years as people are relying more on USB drives. The reason is the decreasing cost of thumb drives and they can be used again and again till the hardware failure occurs. However, optical drives are difficult to maintain because of their tendency to get scratches.

Storage has emerged as a separate technology with the increase of data and databases. There was a time where normal users like me only used to think about a dual core processor while buying a computer. But these days we have to take care about every single part of the PC, be it the RAM, Power Supply required by the computer, Motherboard, Processor and Hard Disk as well.

Sophos is not just another brand name in the market, its one of the established security vendors and a very old indeed. It is not famous among home users but they have established their name in the enterprise security, specially in Email and Network Security. Depending upon their Alexa rank they could be in our top ten Antivirus list but Bitdefender has improved the same after the promo of their Total Security latest version for 90 days and now takes the tenth place, which it was sharing before with PC Tools in our list.

Experts Galaxy is hosted on blogger so the security for this blog is taken care by Google itself, but for our home computers we need to take care of the things on our own. If you are using a good security software and regularly updates your Windows then also you are not 100% secure because if there is any software installed which is vulnerable to risk or has reached the end of life state then using the loop hole in the software anyone can compromise the security of your computer. You might heard about many data breaches all over the internet of big companies ( recently it happened with Yahoo ), in most of the cases the hacker used a vulnerability found by him in the server or web application running on it.
